In 1962, Monsignor Michael McCorristin, the original Iron Mike, began his dream of creating a
school to provide affordable, quality Catholic education to families who desired it. Today, we
continue his dream at Trenton Catholic Preparatory Academy, Inc., a not for profit, independent
Catholic school, as his spirit lives in today’s students and in the thousands of Iron Mike alumni
who walked our halls.
The “Celebrate Iron Mikes” Gala on April 1, 2023 at Trenton Country Club recognizes our
dedicated honorees, whose actions reflect Monsignor’s vision.
We invite you to join us in celebrating these wonderful people and their contribution to our school:
Partners in Faith Award:
The Reverend Alphonse Stephenson, Music Director, Orchestra
of St. Peter by the Sea
Alumni Making a Difference Award:
Philip and Carol Besler
Community Partnership Award:
Edward Dietzler, CEO/ President, The Bank of Princeton
Serve the Youth Award: Joseph O’Gorman Jr.
Making A Difference Award: Sherika Salmon
Trenton Catholic Preparatory Academy dramatically transforms the lives of many of our families
and students. In an area where graduation rates are low, TCPA will graduate 100% of its
seniors, of which 98% will go on to college or other specialized training.
With over 80% of TCPA students needing financial assistance, your support through the Gala
and the Iron Mike Foundation is greatly needed to continue to provide scholarships and support
to deserving families and students, which will ensure that the legacy will continue for many
years to come.
We hope you will help make our “Celebrate Iron Mikes” Gala successful by providing a
sponsorship contribution, placing an advertisement in our Gala booklet or by purchasing event
tickets. Enclosed please find a sponsorship form for your consideration. Be assured that your
contribution to the Iron Mike Foundation and TCPA directly benefits our students from PreK
through 12th grade.
On behalf of the Trenton Catholic Preparatory Academy family, we thank you for your
consideration and hope to see you on April 1.
