Welcome to Fifth Grade at Trenton Catholic Preparatory Academy, Inc!

My name is Ms. Jennifer Bevins. I graduated from Georgian Court College and have been teaching in Catholic schools for over twenty years. I am thankful and honored to have been given the opportunity to teach 5th & 6th grade Social Studies and ILA as well as 5th grade Religion at Trenton Catholic Preparatory Academy, Inc.

As a teacher I believe that every student is special and unique. We all have gifts and talents to share. I am looking forward to seeing your talents and gifts in action. As we begin our journey through fifth grade remember that you are up to the challenge!

5th Grade Homeroom Information/News

Tutoring: I will be tutoring on Wednesdays from 2:20-3:20. If your child needs assistance they can stay after school and recieve assistance in they subject they are having difficulty with. A note or email must be sent letting me know your child has permission to stay.

Student Lockers: Students will be given a locker to use to store their supplies, bookbag, coats, and other items. Lockers must be kept clean and neat. Lockers are not and will not be locked.

Snack: Our class will have the opportunity for snack during the day so please send in something nutritional for your child to eat. Students may bring in water to drink during the day. No glass bottles, please.

Dismissal: If there are any changes in your child's normal dismissal please send a written note to me and/or call the office to let them know about the change. Please do NOT email me dismissal changes. I do not always have the opportunity to check my email during the day and may miss the message.

Google Classroom: Our students will have assignments to complete that will be posted in Google classroom. Students should check their Google Classrooms and their TCPA student email on a daily basis.

Homework: Homework will be posted on my class website every day. Some assignments will be long-term and require students to budget their time. If an assignment is incomplete it will be given back for the student to redo/complete during recess. Please let me know if your child is having difficulties with homework.

Absent Work/Missed Assignments: Students are also responsible for checking on Google classroom for any missed assignments. Assignments not found on Google Classroom will be collected for the students.
